Study Options

We offer a broad curriculum of subjects which is complimented by additional support for girls with special educational needs.   The range of courses available expands as girls progress through the school, with the opportunity to specialise in areas of interest and ability.

NCEA examinations take place in Years 11 to 13.   Our course information is subject to change, depending on alterations being made to New Zealand National Qualifications, minimum class size requirements and the annual curriculum review.   Please confirm course availability with us when you enrol your daughter.

The academic programme offered to our international students is co-ordinated by the Dean of International Students, Fiona Kerr, and the Director of International Students, Mrs Maggie Llewellyn.
Fiona Kerr is a qualified and experienced teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Every girl's level of English is assessed on arrival at St Hilda's, and an appropriate course of study is designed for each individual student. Progress is regularly assessed.

Our international students can expect:

  • Full integration into the life and activities
  • Individualised learning programmes
  • All the support they need to continue their education in the English language
  • Access to the full academic programme
